The movement inside This reference is built with either calibre. The choice changes the price, the rate and the reserve — nothing else about the watch.
| Base | Seiko NH35 or Miyota 8215, automatic | Swiss clone of the maison's own calibre |
|---|---|---|
| Rate | ±15 to 25 seconds a day | ±5 to 10 seconds a day |
| Reserve | About 40 hours | 55 to 70 hours |
| Balance | 21,600 A/h · six beats a second | 28,800 A/h · eight beats a second |
| Servicing | Any watchmaker can service it; parts are everywhere | Serviced by a specialist; finished as the original is |
| Suited to | Wearing daily, keeping simply, spending less | Matching the reference exactly, and glass casebacks |
The Swiss movement is $50 more. That figure buys the rate, the reserve and a movement that reads correctly through a glass back — not a different watch.
Which we would take. If it is to be worn every day and serviced down the road from you, the Japanese is the honest answer. If it has to survive a loupe against the reference — or the caseback is glass and the movement is meant to be seen — take the Swiss.

Description
The happiness of the wealthy is so simple and unpretentious. A true rose gold watch has arrived! It's entirely plated in 18k gold with a thickness of 5um, certified by GTC China, and verifiable online! The case diameter is 41mm, equipped with a genuine Swiss ETA-2836 movement, and comes with a lifetime warranty! The Datejust II is a member of the Rolex Oyster family, inheriting the characteristics of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch launched in 1945. First unveiled in 2009, the Datejust II is the top choice for those who appreciate classic style and seek innovation. This timepiece, a revisit to a classic, possesses its own unique charm and exudes prestige. The Datejust watch is a classic of modern watchmaking and the world's first water-resistant, automatic watch with a date display window on the dial. This was an unparalleled technological innovation at the time, hence the name Datejust. The fluted bezel has always been considered a signature design of the Datejust watch, making the Rolex Datejust one of the most recognizable timepieces. When the Oyster watch was first created in 1926, the fluted bezel served a specific purpose: to screw the bezel into a fixed position on the case, ensuring the watch's precise water resistance. The Oyster case holds a pivotal place in Rolex's history. It is named for its oyster-shell-like seal. Thanks to two major inventions—the screw-down case back and the screw-down water-resistant winding crown—the watch can operate perfectly underwater. The screw-down winding crown and the screw-down case back are the heart of the Oyster watch. Created by Rolex in 1953, the Twinlock mechanism ensures the screw-down crown's complete water resistance, thanks to two sealed areas located within the tube and the crown. All Oyster models are equipped with this mechanism, achieving a water resistance of up to 100 meters. The Oyster Strap is the epitome of perfect form, functions, aesthetics, and technology, exquisitely captivating. Introduced in the late 1930s, this metal strap, composed of three rows of wide, flat links, is extremely robust and has remained the most widely used strap in the Oyster collection. Influenced by the pioneering Datejust timepiece, the Datejust II features a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The date changes instantaneously in milliseconds at midnight. Rolex invented a convex magnifying date window in 1953, magnifying the date 2.5 times for easy reading.
