New Watch: Richard Mille Launches RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson Pink Theme Skeleton Tourbillon Timepiece: Inspired by Golf Balls
The striking new creation – the "RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson" tourbillon watch – is a collaboration with professional golfer Bubba Watson. The unique pink color comes from the golf legend's favorite PING No. 1 club, giving it a particularly bright and cheerful style that brings joy.
The new watch features a bezel and case back crafted from a pink and white quartz carbon fiber composite material, while the middle case is made of carbon fiber and pink quartz carbon fiber, each case boasting a unique interwoven texture. The trapezoidal case provides a more comfortable and snug fit on the wrist, and the crown's top subtly mimics the textured shape of a golf ball, a rather interesting detail.
The fully open dial allows the wearer to clearly see the entire movement in operation. The skeleton bridge outlines a horizontal "V" shape in the dial, and the pink hand-painted pattern is inspired by the clubhead used by Bubba Watson. The 6-point tourbillon structure can withstand 10,000g of impact force, ensuring stable operation even during high-speed shots by professional golfers.
Equipped with an RM 38-02 manual winding movement, this movement boasts a beat rate of 28,800 vph and provides 52 hours of power reserve. The movement features a carbon fiber skeleton baseplate for excellent shock absorption. The bridge plate remains made of robust Tier 5 titanium metal, and the small perforations on the back incorporate pink decorative elements.
