Integrated movement RMUL2 movement, slim case assembly design ▶️RICHARD MILLE Richard Mille RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Ultimate Edition Watch ▶️ Let's first briefly understand the origin of this watch. The first RM 61-01 Yohan Blake watch was created in 2014. Yohan Blake was a Jamaican sprinter who holds a place among the most famous track and field athletes. If this is your first time learning about this watch, you can probably understand its inspiration—a high-end sports watch developed specifically for sports. This RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Ultimate Edition watch was launched by Richard Mille in 2020, and it is also the final piece of this model and its unique collection. ▶️ The watch case is a major highlight. First, the asymmetrical shape: the case is deliberately extended on one side from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock, forming a "narrow on the left and wide on the right" shape. The main purpose of this design is not for novelty, but to avoid friction between the crown and the sprinter's wrist. Another highlight of the case is the use of new materials. The bezel and case back are made of Quartz carbon fiber (Quartz TPT®) and carbon fiber (Carbon TPT®). The production of this composite material involves numerous complex processes: First, extremely thin layers of silica (from which Quartz carbon fiber is separated) are soaked in white resin, then carbon fiber layers are inserted and layered using machinery. Next, the fiber layers are heated to 120 degrees Celsius under high pressure before being sent to Richard Mille's factory for further processing. This processing creates random textures on the composite material, making each watch unique. ▶️ Finally, it is assembled with grade 5 titanium alloy spline screws and stainless steel washers, ensuring a water resistance depth of 50 meters. ▶️ The crown is made of carbon fiber (Carbon TPT®) material and features an O-ring seal as a protective device to prevent accidental contact with the crown during movement. ▶️ Anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass. ▶️The RM61-01 “Ultimate Edition” watch features the RMUL2 skeleton manual winding movement, providing approximately 55 hours of power reserve.
