Description
Another historic moment in the replica watch world: the "perpetual calendar," one of the three major complications in luxury watches, has been successfully developed! The V9 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Perpetual Calendar Automatic Watch (official reference: white dial 130842J, black dial 1308470, gold dial 1302520, gray dial 130354J), the same watch worn by Stephen Strange in the movie "Doctor Strange." The V9 factory has achieved all the functions of the original 868 movement without altering the original 39mm diameter.
The functions are as follows:
1. Perpetual calendar – The perpetual calendar at the 8 o'clock position functions normally (2017-2024; the year module can be replaced at the factory for free in 2024). Like the original, it can be adjusted via the case hidden button, and it is superior to the original in that it can be reversed (the original year is irreversible; if it has been adjusted, you will have to pay for repairs yourself).
2. Sun, Moon and Stars (Calendar) - The date (3 o'clock), month (6 o'clock), and day of the week (9 o'clock) all move normally and can be manually adjusted (the date can be adjusted bidirectionally by pulling out the second position, the month can be adjusted by the hidden button at the 8 o'clock position, and the day of the week can be adjusted by adjusting the pointer).
3. Warning window – A fan-shaped window located above the needle axis in the center of the dial. When it is white, you can manually adjust the year. When it is blue, it is a forbidden time period. It is best not to adjust the year in this area to avoid damaging the lifespan of the movement. This is also true for the original parts.
4. Moon phase display – The moon phase window at the 12 o'clock position completes one cycle every 24 hours;
5. Hours, minutes, and seconds – same as regular watch operation and adjustment.
Reasons for purchase:
1. Complete functions: Includes all functions such as perpetual calendar and annual calendar, high-end, highly playable, and extremely visually appealing, a rare find among movement-based devices;
2. Extremely similar dial face: The dial face is the face of the original. Thanks to the benefits of original mold tooling, the product is 98% close to the original dial face in terms of dial, font distribution and dial color. It is difficult to distinguish without looking at the movement.
3. Practical size: The 39mm diameter is suitable for both business and casual occasions, and goes well with both formal and casual wear.
4. Toffee Hands: Toffee sword-shaped hands are the signature hands of the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand (half sandblasted and half polished), not ordinary hands from small factories;
5. Low list price: The original models currently on sale are mostly steel models, priced around RMB 10,000 (around RMB 80,000 for secondhand). It is currently the most cost-effective model among complex function models from top brands, bar none, and most people can afford it.
(Friendly reminder: A full calendar/annual calendar is not the same as a perpetual calendar. A full calendar/annual calendar only displays the "day, star, and month", while a perpetual calendar can directly display the year.)
BUG:
1. Thickness: The original is 9.2mm, while the V9 produced by is 11.5mm. It is slightly thicker than the original, but it is not easily noticeable to the naked eye and does not affect the user experience.
2. Movement Structure: There are differences in movement structure due to differences in the basic movement. This has both advantages and disadvantages: the disadvantage is that the similarity of the movement is not high, but the advantage is that it is better than the original in terms of year adjustment (V9 can be adjusted cyclically, while the original cannot be adjusted reversibly).
3. Moon Phase: The original Moon Phase lasts for 30 days, while the V9 lasts for 24 hours. The additional functions do not affect the appearance or use.
