The movement inside This reference is built with either calibre. The choice changes the price, the rate and the reserve — nothing else about the watch.
| Base | Seiko NH35 or Miyota 8215, automatic | Swiss clone of the maison's own calibre |

| Rate | ±15 to 25 seconds a day | ±5 to 10 seconds a day |
| Reserve | About 40 hours | 55 to 70 hours |
| Balance | 21,600 A/h · six beats a second | 28,800 A/h · eight beats a second |

| Suited to | Wearing daily, keeping simply, spending less | Matching the reference exactly, and glass casebacks |
The Swiss movement is $50 more. That figure buys the rate, the reserve and a movement that reads correctly through a glass back — not a different watch.
Which we would take. If it is to be worn every day and serviced down the road from you, the Japanese is the honest answer. If it has to survive a loupe against the reference — or the caseback is glass and the movement is meant to be seen — take the Swiss.
The exact base calibre for this reference is confirmed in writing, with the QC film, before anything is dispatched. The two movements, explained

IWC IW328209 Mark 20 titanium Swiss Air Patrol watch
🔴 Made from original molds - A waste of top-quality items 🔴
① This is the first case on the market to be made with genuine Grade 5 titanium material. Grade 5 titanium is 50% harder than ordinary Grade 2 or 4 titanium; however, its processing and material costs are also 90% higher. Furthermore, this material is scarce in large factories nationwide. These factors combined have led many competitors to abandon this material and opt for ordinary Grade 2 or 4 titanium. Ordinary titanium, due to its softness and toughness, results in jagged edges when engraving deeper on the case back, limiting engraving to shallower areas. It also makes it impossible to achieve a smooth and refined finish when machining the case body. Grade 5 titanium has a hardness equivalent to 914L steel; the CNC-machined case boasts a naturally superior texture.
② We are the first in the market to use Swiss Super-LumiNova® C1 grade luminous material; only this material can achieve the best pure white effect for hour markers. If other luminous materials are used, the dial face hour markers will be white with a hint of beige, which is a failure.
③ We are the first in the market to offer a free white or black fluororubber strap with a self-disassembly system, which you can choose from.
④ A 12-point pyramid-shaped or triangular cone-shaped three-dimensional shape that no one in the market can surpass; a sharper, brighter, and cleaner white.

❺ Change C.35111 to C.32111
❶ The Mark 18 has a thickness of 10.8 mm, while the Mark XX has a thickness of 10.6 mm. At the same time, the soft iron antimagnetic inner shell is removed.
