Description
The Chanel black and gold Quartz watch, also known as the "1987" version, was created in 1987. It features an imported, genuine Quartz movement. Designed by Hollywood actress Greta Garbo at the invitation of Coco Chanel, this was Chanel's first watch, making it a significant "premiere" (first appearance) moment. The case and octagonal sapphire crystal glass were inspired by the cap of the N°5 perfume bottle and Place Vendôme in Paris, near Coco Chanel's home. Because of its resemblance to a sugar cube, it's also known as the "Sugar Cube" watch. The classic American alligator leather strap is very luxurious! The jewel-like clasp adds a touch of ceremony to the opening and closing. It's a watch that instantly elevates any outfit you wear.
