The Swiss movement is $50 more. That figure buys the rate, the reserve and a movement that reads correctly through a glass back — not a different watch.
Which we would take. If it is to be worn every day and serviced down the road from you, the Japanese is the honest answer. If it has to survive a loupe against the reference — or the caseback is glass and the movement is meant to be seen — take the Swiss.

Description
The APS Audemars Piguet 26400 features an imported sapphire crystal glass with a blue anti-reflective coating. The crystal is aesthetically pleasing from every angle, even under sunlight. The bezel edge boasts the same brushed metal texture as the original. The hexagonal screws on the bezel edge are flush with the bezel, without any protrusions or recesses – a feat achieved with extremely high precision molds! The bezel edge is laser-cut perfectly smooth and has a high gloss finish. The dial features a classic black checkered pattern as its background, with each prominent square adding depth and dimension. The dial lettering has excellent white balance, making any flaws imperceptible. Three small dials stand out against the black case with white markers, with the red hands on two of the smaller dials being particularly striking. The small seconds dial is located at 12 o'clock, while a circular date window with multiple concave lenses is positioned at 3 o'clock. The enlarged TPE display is identical to the genuine article and features a surface coating for clear and enlarged data display. The date font is also synchronized with the original. Chronograph dials are located at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock. All hour markers on the dial are filled with imported luminescent material, achieving the same luminous effect as the original. The hands are adorned with red accents, and the other two hands are neatly arranged without burrs. The crown is made of hexagonal ceramic material with a brushed finish. On either side of the replica crown are the start, stop, and reset buttons for the chronograph, respectively. The prominent crowns enhance the watch's imposing presence. The titanium metal transparent case back is exquisitely polished, featuring a sapphire crystal glass that fits perfectly with the case back edge, ensuring excellent wear resistance and clarity. The lettering on the case back is hand-engraved using a brand-new processing technique, resulting in exquisite detail; the screws are also on the same plane as the case back. [Movement] The movement, accentuated by the transparent case back, exudes a powerful presence. The gray-black automatic rotor has a layered look, further enhanced by the jewel-set dial. The 7750 modified to a 3126 small seconds movement at 12 o'clock offers the same stable driving force as the genuine article.
