QC film before you pay — what to look for

The film is the product until you approve it. Six things to check before you type GL.

It is your piece, not a stock photo

Macro film is shot of the watch reserved for you — dial, case, clasp, movement running. If something is wrong, say RL and we pull another. That is the point of the film, not a courtesy.

Six checks that catch most regrets

  1. Dial printing and lume — even colour, no smudge.
  2. Rehaut / chapter ring alignment if the reference has one.
  3. Bezel action and click count on dive pieces.
  4. Clasp and bracelet end links — solid, no rattle.
  5. Caseback and movement view if the reference shows them.
  6. Time grapher / rate note when we include one on film.

GL and RL mean what they say

GL green-lights packing. RL asks for another piece of the same reference (or a conversation if stock is thin). Do not GL to be polite — the film is there so you do not have to.
